Andrea Patrie is originally from San Diego, CA. She has two children, and she currently lives and works in Huntington Beach, CA. For 11 years, Andrea worked as a special education teacher in both the public and private schools. In 2013, 13 years after receiving her Bachelors, she decided to change directions and pursue a career working as an artist. Andrea recently graduated with her MFA from California State University Fullerton where she was the recipient of The Fine Arts Affiliate, Leo Freeman and Art Alliance Scholarships. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, and her work was selected for display in the Presidents Office at CSUF. More recently, she had her first solo exhibition at the Fourth Element Gallery in Santa Ana, CA. She will also be participating in the Art Palm Springs Art Fair in February of 2019 with the Fourth Element Gallery. She is affiliated with Pathway’s for Independence, a non-profit organization designed to help women who have been victims of abuse reach their Higher Education goals; and with Experience Recovery, a treatment center for men and women recovering from issues related to substance abuse. Andrea is a staunch advocate for education and art. She is dedicated to helping others and is developing an inclusive education program for teens with a local gallery in Los Angeles, CA.
